So You Think You're Smart is a delightful book of brain games that the entire family can enjoy. All games are concise, uncomplicated and, most of all, a lot of fun. They are about ordinary words and things that everybody knows about so only common knowledge and a bit of resourcefulness are needed to solve them. The games are only one of the fun features. All answers are encrypted! Each is given on the same page as the game, but is printed upside-down and backward - as in a mirror image. To ensure that they cannot be accidentally read, the answers are further obscured by using italics and a reduced size type. A mirror is needed to reveal the answers.

Pasqual Battaglia was born in 1937, in Niagara Falls, New York, United States.
In 1956-1960, Pasqual Battaglia studied at the University of Notre Dame and became a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
In 1962-1968, he studied at the State University of New York at Buffalo and became a Master of Mechanical Engineering.
Pasqual Battaglia started the career as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Bell Aerospace Company and worked there from 1960 to 1993. He worked on several rocket programs including Mercury, Gemini, and the one-man Rocket Belt.
But Battaglia has made a career out of his hobby of devising brain games. He became a fan of collecting and solving puzzles early on. Battaglia began collecting puzzles that were especially clever and fun on and would share them with his friends, teasing them with hints until they found the correct answers. Eventually, he put together the book "If You’re So Smart, Prove It!: Amusing Word Games For All Ages," containing his extra-special favorites, as a way to share the fun on a wider scale. It was published in 1976. His book simply increased his craving for more puzzles and not finding them, he began developing them himself.
Pasqual Battaglia launched his "If You’re So Smart" newspaper puzzle column in 1982 and he continues it to this day. He creates word puzzles with surprising and sometimes even amusing answers. Spurred on by letters from column readers, he compiled a second book of unusual word games, "So You Think You’re Smart: 150 Fun and Challenging Brain Teasers," in 1988. Many people wrote to tell him that working on his games has made them alert. This led Battaglia to author his third book "Are You Smart, or What?, A Bizarre Book of Games & Fun for Everyone," published in 2001. It contains still more fun and challenge from Battaglia.
In addition to his games, Pat likes to add unusual features in his books. For instance, "Are You Smart, or What?, A Bizarre Book of Games & Fun for Everyone" includes a playful scoring technique for each puzzle and a hilarious evaluation of brainpower at the end of each of three sections to add to reader enjoyment. His book "Smart Is as Smart Does, Brain Games to Reveal the Genius in You" has much the same feature. The book "So You Think You're Smart, 150 Fun and Challenging Brain Teasers" is also unique. All answers are given in a mirror image and an unbreakable plastic mirror is provided with every book to read the answer. Apparently people like this innovation because the book is in its 19th printing. The answers in his book "If You're So Smart, Prove it!, Amusing Word Games For All Ages" presents answers in yet a different way. All answers are given upside-down on the opposite page and in a reduced size script font to obscure it from being read accidentally.
His newest book, "The Cleverest Brain Games on the Planet with Surprising Answers" (2015) has yet another innovation: each puzzle has an illustration of a character whose facial expression and body language reveals the degree of challenge that you will likely encounter.
In 1990, Pasqual Battaglia founded International Puzzle Features.
In 1996-2008, he also owned ISO 9000 Documentation Service. Battaglia developed customized and concise documentation for companies so they could achieve registration to the ISO 9001 international standard.
Pasqual Battaglia worked in rocket programs and helped develop rockets used in the United States' space program to get a man on the moon.
He published five books with "clever" puzzles, which are very popular among the audience.
For many years, Pasqual Battaglia writes for a newspaper puzzle column "If You’re So Smart," which receives positive feedbacks.

1988Pasqual Battaglia doesn't like people who read a puzzle and then take a furtive look at the answer without even trying to solve it. So all of his books include various intriguing schemes to prevent answers from being seen at a glance. However, all answers are still readily available but not until readers deliberately seek them.
"The thing that I like best about being a writer is having people notify me that they enjoy my books. It is very gratifying," - he said.
Pasqual Battaglia is a fun-loving person. When entertaining organizations with his word games he appears in costume as a stereotypical rocket scientist reminiscent of his former career. He is then known as Dr. Fun to the delight of his audiences.
