• Achievements include development of a new genetic model of schizophrenia to be able to study the mechanisms of damage and protection in the way to pook for new therapies. Research in importance of metallothionein in inducing protection during experimental Parkinsonism. Research in oxidative stress in an experimental model of Parkinson’s disease.
  
  Research in collaboration with Doctor Ebadi described that metal´lothionein, neurotrophins and selegiline provide neuroprotection in Parkinson's disease. Research in EGb761 as a potential neuroprotective and neurorestroative phytodrug during parkinsonism induce by MPTP.
