Paul DEROULEDE, British Founder.

Education

Lycee Louis-leGrand; lycee Bonaparte. Lycee de Versailles; Student of Law, 1863-1869.

Career

Called to bar, 1870; engaged in literary work, 1869-1882. In politics since 1882. Served agaiust the Prussians 1870.

Made prisoner at Sedan, in rescuing his brother Andre who was severely wounded. Escaped from prison in November the same year. Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur, 1871.

Founder of the League of Patriots. President, 1886-1908. D£put6, 1890. Was banished for having tried to substitute the Republican Plebiscite for the Parliamentary Constitution, 1900; received pardon, 1905.
