Pauline J. Alama is a freelance writer and author. In one interview Pauline was asked, "What is your inspiration for writing as a whole?" Pauline said: "I feel most alive when I'm writing-but not if I force myself by saying, "I must write every day." It only seems to work if I can surf on the active currents of ideas strong enough to move me. I can't always come up with ideas when I want them, which is why I was so grateful for the inspiration of your theme."

During an interview with Pauline J. Alama, the interviewer Deborah J. Ross asked her: "Tell us a little about yourself. How did you come to be a writer?". And Pauline answered: " I had great teachers. My second-grade teacher, Mrs. Dorothy Mutch, assigned a lot of creative writing, which led me to the life-changing discovery that writing stories were like playing pretend, except better, because I got to keep my pretend game, show it to other people, sometimes even see it light them up the way it lit me up to create it. What could be better than that?"
Pauline J. Alama is married. Her husband's name is Paul Cunneen, he is a teacher. Their wedding took place on August 3, 1996.
