Pavel Arnoldovich entered the Kiev Conservatory at once at two faculties (violin and opera and symphonic conducting) in 1939. In 1941 went to the front, went through the whole war. Returning, Pavel Arnoldovich graduated from the conservatory in 1950. He graduated from the Kiev Conservatory as a violinist (1949) and conductor (1950).
In 1950-1955 Pavel Arnoldovich headed the Voronezh Symphony Orchestra, was the artistic director of the Philharmonic, and performed a lot. In 1966-1969 he worked in the city of Yaroslavl. In 1955-1966 and after 1969 he lived in Ordzhonikidze, led the symphony orchestra of North Ossetia. He toured a lot, including abroad. He is the author of books published in Vladikavkaz: "His Majesty Orchestra" (1994), "In the Power of Music" (1997), "24 Etudes on the Music of Ossetia" (1999), "Chord of Thoughts" (2000).
