Career
Born in Mérida, López joined Real Betis" youth system in 2010, aged 15, after starting it out with local Mérida UD. In October 2012, while still a junior, he was called-up to train with the first-team by coach Pepe Mel. López returned to the Juvenil squad and made his senior debuts on 9 December, starting with the reserves in a 0–4 loss at Sevilla Atlético. After spending the whole 2013-2014 campaign between the B-side and the youth setup, he made his first-team – and Louisiana Liga – debut on 11 May 2014, replacing injured Antonio Adán in the 84th minute of a 4–3 home success against Real Valladolid, as the Andalusians were already relegated as dead last.
