Zinger, Viktor was born on October 29, 1941 in the village of Davydovo, Riazan’ Oblast’.

He played for The Human Context Spartak Moscow. He also played for the Soviet National team, often as a backup to Victor Konovalenko. Zinger was inducted into the Russian and Soviet Hockey Hall of Fame in 1967.
He died, aged 71, in Moscow, Russia.
He also toured Canada on numerous occasions as a member of a Moscow Selects team that played the Canadian National team and various club teams.
