Author of numerous provisions of the National Housing Act. Active in securing passage of Federal Deposit and Insurance law, 1933, 1934, and amendments R.F.C. Act, including provision relative to direct loans to industry. Author of law of repeal of so-called “Red Rider” which interfered with the curriculum of the schools of the District of Columbia and required teachers’ oath.
Active in legislation to keep the United States out of war.
