Famous cases include: Huntington Case, Rose Will Case (4 Abbott’s Court of Appeals Decision, 108), achieved his greatest victory in suit of Mechanics’ Bank versus New York & New Haven Railroad Company (13 New York Reports, 599).
Delegate to Peace Conference, Washington, Washington, District of Columbia, 1861. Gave address “One Country! One Constitution! One Destiny!” (in support of Emancipation Proclamation), 1861.
