Acting assistant p.m. United States Navy, 1862-1864. Was p.m. of United States Ship Miami, North. Atlantic Squadron, on board at Plymouth, North Carolina, 1864, when Lieutenant Commander Charles West. Flusser was killed in engagement with Confederate ram Albemarle.
