Secured abolition of railroad grade crossings in Washington and originated the plan for removal of Pennsylvania Railroad from the Mall and establishment of a union station. Personally selected names now borne by streets in street extension plan of District of Columbia Division engineer Gulf Division embracing all states touching the Gulf of Mexico, 1908-1915.
