Appeared with Stuart Robson, Park Theatre, New York, in “Our Boarding House,” 1877, followed by numerous successes, including the two Dromios in Shakespeare’s “Comedy of Errors,” ending with “The Henrietta.” Appeared in star rôles in “The Senator,” “On Probation,” “For Money,” “The American Minister,” “Brother John,” “Fool of Fortune,” “The Pacific Mail,” 1892, “A Virginia Courtship,” 1898, “Worth a Million,” 1898-1899, “The Head of the Family,” 1899. Appeared for 3 years as David Harum in play of that name, 1900.
Followed by “The Spenders,” “Business is Business,” “Les Affaires sont Les Affaires,” “Father and the Boys,” 1907-1910. “The Senator Keeps House,” 1911, and a revival of Bronson Howard’s “The Henrietta.”.
