Came with Mistress Langtry to the United States, 1915, and toured as Dick Marsden in Mistress Thompson. Played in New York in The Lodger, Eve’s Daughter, L’Elevation, Wild Duck, Hedda Gabler, Dell’s House, Tiger! Tiger!!.
Starred by Belasco in Debarad, The Grand Duke, The Comedian. Appeared season of 1923-1924 in The Heart of Cellini, later in The Outsider, and in Cæsar and Cleopatra, 1925, in Beau Gallant, 1926. Directed The Squall, Lady Alone, The Adventurer, The Thief, and played in same, 1926-1927.
Played Napoleon in play of same name, also played in revival of The Outsider, season 1927-1928. In The Silent Witness, 1931. In motion pictures, 1932-1933, in Silent Witness, Doctor X, Wax Museum, Song of Songs, Nana, The Devil is a Woman, Captain Blood, The High Command (England), Three Comrades, The Great Waltz, Son of Frankenstein, Hound of the Baskervilles, The Sun Never Sets, etc.
