Did important research on the functions of vision in the human organism as a whole, the relationship of the visual organ to other sense organs and the influence of the ccntr nervous system on the visual functions. Discovered that the photosensitive apparatus can react in the shortwave range to some incidental stimuli in a manner diametrically opposed to apparatus receiving long-wave radiation. On the basis of experimental data on the opposite effect of potassium and calcium ions and adrenaline on green and red vision (shortand long-wave radiation), attributed great importance to the role of ionic processes and vegetative influences in this phenomenon.
