Sara Facio studied in her native city at the National School of Fine Arts (1947-1950), at the Pueyrredón (1951-1954) and with the Annemarie Heinrich Photographic Studio (1960-1962).
In 1960 Sara Fació began both to manage the photographic studio Sara Facio/Alicia d'Amico and to head a monthly section, "Behind the Visor," for Buenos Aires' Auto Club Magazine. She maintains both these positions today.
Additionally, Sara Fació directed the weekly section "Photo Time" of the daily paper La Nación (1966-1974), and, as of this writing, is artistic director for Azotea Publishers, a position she undertook in 1973.

1998An honorary member and exhibitor in the Photo Club of Buenos Aires, Sara Fació is also a member of the Fédération International de l'Art Photographique (FIAP).
