Background
Hudson was born in Portland, Oregon, the eldest of three sons (Brett and Mark are his two younger brothers) born to Eleanor (née Salerno). His mother was Italian American (his maternal grandfather came from Carlentini, Province of Syracuse, Sicily, Italy) and his father was of mostly English descent.
Career
He is best known for being in the band The Hudson Brothers. His father left his family when he was six. He was raised Roman Catholic.
As an actor, Hudson appeared in the film Big Shots (1987) and three episodes of the television series Doogie Howser, Doctor of Medicine from 1989 to 1992.
Hudson released his memoir, Two Versions: The Other Side of Fame and Family, in December 2011.
