Charles William Jackson "Bill" Falkinder Commander of the Order of the British Empire was an Australian politician.
Education
Born in Hobart, Tasmania, he was educated at Hobart High School and served in the Royal Air Force in Pathfinders from 1940-1945 ranking to Wing Commander, flying some 117 missions over occupied Europe receiving the Defence Science Organisation, Distinguished Flying Cross Bar.
Career
In 1946 he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Liberal member for Franklin, narrowly defeating Labor minister Charles Frost with a 10% swing. He held the seat until his retirement in 1966.Awarded Commander of the Order of the British Empire for service. Bill Falkinder died in 1993.
