Career
He was the uncle of Bill Hallman, an outfielder for four seasons. Although he was primarily a second baseman, he did eventually play every position on the diamond, including one game as a pitcher in 1896. He died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was interred at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania.
