Career
She represented her native country internationally at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics and the 2013 Summer Universiade. At the World Junior Championships, she ran the 800 metres she managed to make the final, running a personal best of 2:02.38 in the semi-final. A year later at the 2013 Universiade in the 800m her 2:02.96 didn"t get her out of the semi-final, nor did her 4:28.77 get her into the final of the 1500m.
In 2014, Uganda played host to the Universiade World Cross Country Championships.
Nanyondo took a 30-second victory to lead the home team to a 1-2-3 sweep and the team championship. Later in the year she upped her game taking her 800m time under 2:00 with a 1:59.27 in Ostrava.
