Roszkowski is a substitute for the Committee on Culture and and a member of the Delegation for relations with Japan. From 1980 to 1983 he was a Member of the independent self-governing trade union Solidarność. 1980-1993: Member of the independent self-governing trade union Niezależny Samorządny Związek Zawodowy Solidarność.
