Career
He began his academy soccer training at the age of 7 with FK Partizan, long recognized as one of the top soccer youth academies by Union of European Football Associations. Captain at each age level, Vanja also played on the U-16 and U-19 national teams of Yugoslavia, including playing in the U-16 European Championship final. Vanja’s professional career experience includes FK Radnički and OFK Beograd. Vanja began his professional coaching career in 1999 at OFK Beograd.
Since 2004 Vanja has been a head coach at the FK Partizan Academy, including the U-14, U-16 and U-19 age groups.
He also has coached the Serbia & Montenegro national teams in different age groups. In addition to his academy and national team coaching responsibilities.
Vanja holds a Union of European Football Associations “A” Coaching License. Vanja is a part of successful Christmas soccer camp in United States of America, with Football Club Phoenix Arizona.
