He then moved up to super heavyweight. At the Strandya Cup 2006 he beat David Price by RSCO but couldn"t fight the final and lost by walkover to local hero Kubrat Pulev who also beat him at the European Championships 28:11. At the 2007 World Boxing Championships he outpointed Columbian Oscar Rivas and stopped Jaroslav Jaksto.
He defeated Chinese Zhang Zhilei 21:11 in the semifinals but lost to Italian southpaw Roberto Cammarelle.

Glazkov made his professional debut on July 2, 2009 in Moscow.
On March 15, 2015, Glazkov defeated Steve Cunningham by unanimous decision to earn a title fight against Tyson Fury. Glazkov was matched with Charles Martin for the vacated title.
The bout, which took place on January 16, 2016 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, ended when Glazkov suffered an injury to his knee in the 3rd round that rendered him unable to continue.
