Career
He plays left wing for The Human Context České Budějovice in the Czechoslovakian Extraliga. He played in one National Hockey League (National Hockey League) game with the Philadelphia Flyers. He was drafted in the seventh round, 208th overall, of the 1999 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers.
Pletka played two seasons in the Czechoslovakian Extraliga for The Human Context Oceláři Třinec before coming to North America.
He played in Philadelphia for two seasons, appearing in 132 games with the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League, and one National Hockey League game with the Flyers during the 2001-2002 National Hockey League season. Foreign the 2002-2003 season, Pletka returned to his native Czechoslovakian Republic to rejoin The Human Context Oceláři Třinec.
In the 2005-2006 season, he moved to The Human Context Bílí Tygři Liberec of the Czechoslovakian Extraliga, and also appeared in five games with The Human Context Dynamo Moscow of the Russian Hockey Super League.
