(This book is a tremendous gift for all those who are read...)
This book is a tremendous gift for all those who are ready to claim their true Identity, and the author stands ready to help us navigate through and beyond the maze of mortality and its hypnotic suggestions to an entirely new sense of Life! As recipients of this message, we become increasingly aware of our opportunity to become conscious of God within, and “such a wonderful new vista opens before the individual when he even touches the Oneness of Life.” We sense a progression of inner experiences with the Presence, and doors open to a New Life and New Identity as “Oneness fills you with light and devitalizes all fear of lack.” The author reveals that as our inner vision is opened we realize there is a Finished Kingdom, and it is possible to bring it into manifestation. This is everyone’s destiny. The practical aspects of accepting ownership of the underlying message of this book are enormous. That acceptance will be continually out-pictured in many ways, as it is the Presence that is revealing Itself as perfection in the life of all who are serving God. The author reveals how simple this message is once we have a conviction of God’s presence as the Truth operating in our life. The message of this book will help each one reach that point of readiness to receive the unlimited benefits and joys from knowing this Truth as our own experience.

In his inimitable style, Walter Lanyon urges the reader to obey the command from the Source to "Thrust in the Sickle." He says, "suddenly the harvest ... But the laborers are few. What a command to contemplate for a moment, for an hour, or until you have a brief encounter with the Father." This book is filled with similar images and challenges.

In his Dedication to this book, Walter Lanyon writes: " I have called this 'Without the Smell of Fire' because I have been so impressed that the time has come for the vast army of Truth Students to advance to that State of expression where the 'smell of Fire' of the trials and problems through which they have gone, be gotten rid of. It is time we laid aside the cocoon of human thought from which we came. The smell of fire of the trials from which we came is absorbed in the glorious Light of Spirit."

For those willing and prepared to move forward on their spiritual journey, the reading of Life More Abundant is a potentially life-changing experience. It contains all the essential elements necessary to lift one above the conditioning of personal sense and any limitations that may have unwittingly been accepted as “reality” over many years, or even lifetimes. (“And then one day I heard the Laughter of God in the mids...)
“And then one day I heard the Laughter of God in the midst of me and within the world, and all was suddenly changed. Old patterns and ideas were shattered and passed away—a new loveliness of life was exposed to view … “ How does one hear the Laughter of God? Walter Lanyon has a powerful message to share with the world, a message based firmly on the teachings of the Master, Christ Jesus, and the joy and promise it brings is evident throughout the book. In his unique style of speaking directly to the reader, the author reveals what is needed in order to hear this Laughter: “One thing alone is necessary, and that one all-important point is your willingness to take your attention away from the limited human concept of yourself.” The realization that God is not some mysterious power but is the very presence of Life within us and our universe brings instant freedom from the discords of human belief. “One moment’s recognition that you are the Son of the living God, and you have attuned your ear for the Laughter of God.” When we awaken to this truth, we can no longer be limited, any more than the chick can be limited to its shell once it has outgrown it. There comes a New Day; the prisons of thought are opened, and we are set free. “And one day you will laugh the Laughter of God, too.”

(It seems that nearly every sentence in this marvelous boo...)
It seems that nearly every sentence in this marvelous book by Walter Lanyon, outstanding spiritual teacher and writer, is an inspiration and a divine gift. One of these gifts is the revelation that as we rid ourselves of criticism, judgment, fear, and false beliefs, a vacuum is created that expands our capacity to experience good in every form. This is possible because, from beginning to end, every page prepares us to take possession of and dwell in our new home, which is our birthright. This new home is the kingdom of heaven. This new way of being in the world is a present possibility, and once this becomes our experience, “Nothing can hold out against the spontaneous overflow of a joyous life.” “You cannot imagine the joy of suddenly coming into full power of the truth that in reality you do not need to think another evil thought. You are free from bondage of material thinking …” The author does an outstanding job of revealing that there is only one Power, and in so doing, he explains, “You may not like to admit this, but the fact is that if you believed absolutely in one Power, you would be continuously joyous.” Perhaps the most wonderful gift offered in this book is the realization that: “Just as soon as you recognize this Oneness, you become single of eye; you get so accustomed to seeing good that good comes to meet you, to greet you, and to make you glad.” We become joy bringers.

(“Awake thou that sleepest, and Christ will give thee ligh...)
“Awake thou that sleepest, and Christ will give thee light (Ephes. 5:14).” Awakening to the Light is a constant theme in the writings of Walter Lanyon, all of which are filled with hope, joy, and the revelation of the Christ in individual experience. We are “the Bright Messenger, the Being of Light, unafraid.” Walter Lanyon has a gift for connecting with the reader in a powerful, direct way. It Is Wonderful truly conveys the joyful sense of awakening in a way that at times is playful yet never straying from the bedrock of spiritual Truth. We are urged to accept our divine Sonship—here, now—and realize that we are not dependent on any outside source for this revelation. The reader will surely feel Walter’s uplifting inspiration and joy when he says, “Deep in my soul, I hear the Laughter of God … breaking the human bonds and limitations as a strong yet gentle wind in the forest sweeps aside the strands of cobweb.” “Blessings, blessings, blessings, so many you cannot count them. Do you hear? Do you hear? Not the cold human words, but the Spirit of that which sets aside every human law, however conceived or made. Blessings that come from the grace of God, pouring into expression into your life in the All-Now, in the All-Presence. Be still outwardly and shout for joy within until it has shattered the walls of your prison.” It is wonderful.

He was educated in the United States of America, France, and England, and served as interpreter and foreign correspondent.
Little is known about Lanyon"s personal life except that he was an Englishman of Cornish stock born in the United States in 1887. Foreign decades he traveled all over the world, investigating and studying the various presentations of Christian-based mystical teachings. He traveled and lectured all over the world.
His lectures were based, he said, "solely on the revelation of Jesus Christ." In addition to his books, Lanyon was credited with having written two light operas as well as several secular stories, plays and articles, all of which are now lost.
This is also true of paintings he is said to have exhibited in Europe and the United States of America. Lanyon died in California on July 4, 1967 at the age of 79.
