Career
Livingston was the starting catcher for the Cubs in the 1945 World Series, to date the team"s last appearance in one. He had eight hits in 22 at-bats (364). He was a teammate of Jackie Robinson and the 1951 Brooklyn Dodgers, but played for the last time on September 20 and did not appear in the tie-breaker postseason game on October
3, 1951 that ended with the Shot Heard "Round the World pennant-winning home run by the New York Giants" Bobby Thomson.
From 1952–1956 he managed in the minor leagues.
