Hanley moved to the United States in 2010 when he signed with the Harrisburg City Islanders of the USL Second Division. He made his debut for the team on April 24, 2010 in a game against the Real Maryland Monarchs.
International
Hanley played for the Saint Kitts and Nevis U-17 team at the 2007 CONCACAF U-17 tournament, before making his debut for the senior team in 2008, played in a friendly game against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on September 20, 2009.
