Foreman graduated magna cum laude from Troy University in 1981 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and another in Theater Performance.

Beginning as a local television reporter in Montgomery, Alabama, at WSFA, he continued on to work for WWL-television, the Columbia Broadcasting System affiliate in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1990, Foreman relocated to Denver, Colorado, as a national network correspondent for American Broadcasting Company World News Tonight with Peter Jennings and Nightline. He joined Cable News Network in 2004, and currently works out of Cable News Network"s Washington District of Columbia Bureau covering a wide range topics from breaking political news to international crises.
His career has taken him to all 50 states and through more than 20 countries for coverage of earthquakes, civil wars, economic upheavals and social unrest.
