Career
In 1916, B. Mahmud Hossain was born in an aristocratic landowner of Laskarpur Union in Habiganj district of British India. His father name was Syed Abdul motakabbira Abul Hossain. In the context of retirement of Justice Abu Sadat Mohammad Sayem, the honorable President of Bangladesh appointed B. Mahmud Hossain as Chief Justice and on 18 November 1975, he took the oath as Chief Justice.
On 31 January 1978, he retired from the post.
Mahmud died on 2 August 1982 at Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh.
