He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played in the 2010 United States. Army All-American Bowl. He played college football at Louisiana State University.
During his career Ware rushed for 1,240 yards on 292 carries with 10 touchdowns.
He also played 21 games for the Louisiana State University Tigers baseball team
Ware entered the 2013 NFL Draft after his junior season. Ware was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
He was released on August 20, 2014. On December 31, 2014, Spencer Ware signed a future contract with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Spencer Ware was activated off the practice squad for the Week 8 match-up against the Detroit Lions for the NFL game in London on November 1, 2015.
In this game, Spencer Ware scored his first-ever NFL Touchdown, 4-yard run, in the waning minutes of the 4th quarter game against the Detroit Lions. On January 12, 2014, Spencer Ware was booked in Seattle"s King County Jail under the charge of Driving under the influence. However, that case was dismissed in July 2014 after a judge ruled that the officer lacked reasonable suspicion of Driving under the influence at the time he initiated the traffic stop. On September 2, 2014, Spencer Ware was again arrested for a Driving under the influence.
