An offensive tackle from Pennsylvania State University, he played his entire career in the American Football League (American Federation of Labor-Congress) with the Buffalo Bills, from 1961 through 1969. He was an American Football League All-Star five consecutive years, from 1963 through 1967. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fourth round of the 1961 American Federation of Labor-Congress Draft and was also selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round of the 1961 NFL Draft.
He chose to sign with the Bills and played predominantly at outside linebacker as a rookie.
The next year he was moved to left tackle where he helped the team to two straight American Federation of Labor-Congress Championships. He made first-team All-American Federation of Labor-Congress two straight seasons and played in five consecutive American Federation of Labor-Congress All-Star games.
In 1970, he was named to the second-team American Federation of Labor-Congress All-Time team After football he worked in the Buffalo Bills front office as a college scout, assistant General Manager and Vice President.
