A professional competitor since 2007, Austin has also formerly competed for Bellator. Early career
Austin made his professional Mobile Marketing Association debut in 2007. He spent the majority of his earlier career in his native England, where he would go 7–0, with most of his wins ending via submission or knockout.

Austin signed with Bellator in December 2013.
Austin made his Bellator debut in May 2014, he faced Craig Hudson at Bellator 119. Austin faced Dan Charles at Bellator 126 on 26 September 2014.
Despite winning the first round, he lost the fight via knockout in the third round. BAMMA
In January 2015, Austin signed with United Kingdom-based promotion BAMMA. Austin made his promotional debut against Artur Gluchowski at BAMMA 18 on 21 February 2015.
He lost via split decision.
