Sudhir Kanta Adhikary was a militant Indian nationalist who was active in the Indian independence movement.
Career
He was freed upon Indian independence in 1947. Adhikari was recognised as a freedom fighter by the new Union of India and granted pensions from both the central government and that of West Bengal. After independence, he retired from politics and became a school teacher in Harirampur.
Membership
A member of the anti-British Anushilan Samiti organisation, he was considered dangerous by the British Indian authorities and spent more than 10 years in gaol for recruiting in Benares, Dinajpur and elsewhere.
