Career
He is currently playing with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (National Hockey League). Harrington was originally selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round (54th overall) of 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft. On July 1, 2015, Harrington was traded by the Penguins to the Toronto Maple Leafs in a multi-player deal for Philosophy Kessel.
Following the trade, Harrington impressed at Leafs training camp, and made the team for the opening night roster of the 2015-2016 season.
He was named as one of Canada"s alternate captains for the 2013 IIHF World U20 Championships in Ufa, Russia.
