Career
Sergo Grigorian is best known for his collection of Soviet Political Propaganda Posters (), which he has meticulously constructed over 15 years. The collection boasts over 2000 Soviet posters or “communist posters” as they are known in the West. The time frame of the collection spans the whole Soviet era, from February 1917 to December 1991, when the Soviet Union ceased to exist.
This historical period of Russia attracts a lot of interest as an experiment to build a fair and equitable society.
The Soviet communist poster has shown a successful past application of visual propaganda in political strife. Apart from the vast collection of posters, Sergo Grigorian is also collecting the literature about Soviet graphics and poster art
