Her parents are Damaris Rojas and Juan Pablo Rubio. She was raised as a Catholic, the actress confessed to having had a sister, but died when she was small. Rubio is of mixed cultural background, her interest in acting began when she was still very small.
Her acting career began at the age of eight.
