She was listed by The Observer as one of Britain"s top 300 intellectuals in 2011. After wartime evacuation to Canada, she studied English at Oxford. Besides books, Dinnage has published regular reviews in The New York Review of Books and the London Review of Books.
In 2011, she featured in John Naughton"s list of Britain"s top 300 intellectuals, published in The Observer.
She died on 10 July 2015.
