Career
A nominated member is one who is nominated by the President of India from amongst persons who have special knowledge or practical experience in fields like literature, science, art and social service. Nominated members constitute 12 out of the 250 total Rajya Sabha memberships. Doctor Sahib Singh Sokhey was born on December 15, 1887 to Sardar Jwala Singh Sokhey.
He served as the Assistant Director General in the World Health Organization during 1950-1952.
He was awarded the Stalin Peace Prize in 1953. He died on November 15, 1971.
