Career
Born in Ballybay, Ireland, Crawford moved to New York in 1840. He then moved to Mineral Point, Wisconsin to practice law. He served on the Wisconsin Supreme Court 1853-1855.
He was defeated for reelection in 1855 and resumed his law practice in Mineral Point.
He ran for Wisconsin Attorney General and for a Congressional seat, but was defeated.
