He started his career with Roshan Abbas" Always Kabhi Kabhi. And after completing his schooling in 2007 he moved to Mumbai to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. He did backstage for theatre productions where he witnessed veteran actors performing on stage and learnt a lot by observing them, acted in several plays and started auditioning for acting jobs.
He had a brief stint with television and meanwhile did many ad films for the leading brands where he got noticed.
At the age of "20", Dubey could be among the youngest actors to make his Bollywood debut. In early 2009, he was selected for a role as Tariq Naqvi in Roshan Abbas" "Always Kabhi Kabhi", opposite Zoa Morani, and producer Shahrukh Khan.
The film was released on 17 June 2011, and was a major disappointment at the box office. However, his performance was very well praised.
Dubey has also done several Advertisements like Pizza Hut, Kitkat, Reliance Big-television, HDFC bank and many other leading brands.
He portrayed the role of Nana Saheb in historical serial Jhansi Ki Rani. He played the lead role in the Disney made-for-television movie luck luck ki baat. Recently he play a lead role in the movie Baankey Ki Crazy Baarat.
