Career
Bob Davidson on occasion went by the nickname "Rugged Robert" by his teammates. He played his entire National Hockey League career with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played in the National Hockey League from 1933-1934 to 1945-1946.
His first was in 1941-1942 and his second in the 1944-1945 season in which he was Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Bob Davidson served as Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1943-1944 to 1944-1945. After his playing days were over he stayed on with the Leafs organization in a number of different capacities.
His most notable was as Chief Scout. In 1995 the Board of Directors of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization awarded Bob Davidson with the J. P. Bickell Memorial Award.
