Television career Among his more notable recurring roles on television, he appeared as oncologist (and sexual deviant) Doctor Paul Zeltzer in the comedy series Scrubs, and the aptly named Slow Roger in My Name Is Earl. He appeared as characters in numerous shows including The Tick, Popular, Charmed, Will & Grace, Ugly Betty, That "70s Show, Felicity, Weeds, Gilmore Girls, New York City Police Department Blue, Desperate Housewives, The League, Star Trek: Voyager as a Vidiian surgeon, Space: Above and Beyond, Roswell, and on several episodes of The Closer. He has also appeared in many of John Lehr"s shows including Quick Draw, 10 Items or Less, and Jailbait.
He also played the role of the Bob the Devil on an episode of Anger Management.
Film career His film appearances include the 2009 film Star Trek, as a ship yard worker who interacts with Kirk, as well as playing one of the space nerds in the movie Dude, Where"s My Carolina? (credited as Robert Clendewin). Other work Clendenin appeared in the 2011 Rockstar Games video game Los Angeles Noire as Irwin Bousman.
Recent Roles He had a recurring role on Cougar Town as Tom, a comedically bizarre neighbor who has a crush on the main character, Jules Cobb (Courteney Cox), and he was upgraded to the regular cast in season four. Bob also plays the role as the town undertaker Vernon Shank in the Hulu original series Quick Draw.
