Career
He served as president of International Electrotechnical Commission 1964 and 1967. He was born in 1904 in Brădeni, then Austria-Hungary, now in Sibiu County of Romania. He studied electromechanical engineering at the Polytechnical University of Timişoara, then at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zurich.
He coordinated the writing of the Romanian Technical Lexicon, a vast multilingual technical encyclopedia.
This activity enabled him to contribute to the international standardized vocabulary of electrotechnology.
