Rhea graduated from Saint Scholastica"s Academy Marikina (Grade School and High School) and finished Bachelor of Arts Mass Communication, Magna Cum Laude, from Saint Paul College Quezon City.

She currently co-anchors Global Media Arts Network"s Unang Hirit and hosts several news and public affairs programs on Global Media Arts Network. Rhea Santos is an award-winning broadcast journalist and newscaster in the Philippines. She is one of the hosts of Global Media Arts"s morning show Unang Hirit.
She first appeared on television in 2001 as one of the hosts of Global Media Arts Network"s Unang Hirit.
In 2003, she was assigned to anchor Frontpage: Ulat ni Mel Tiangco"s segment Global Media Arts Action Force. In the same year, she co-hosted Eat Bulaga Silver Special, which was a co-production of TAPE Productions and Global Media Arts News and Public Affairs, with her fellow anchor in Unang Hirit, Arnold Clavio.
Later that year, Global Media Arts launched Pinoy Abroad, which she co-hosted with Ivan Mayrina. She"s currently seen in Global Media Arts"s morning show Unang Hirit, and had anchored Q"s primetime newscast News On Q. She also hosted public affairs program Women"s Desk later titled Draw The Lincolnshire.
She also hosted another public affairs program DoQmentaries as one of the presenters along with Connie Sison and Pia Arcangel.
Rhea replaced Maki Pulido as one of the hosts of Reporter"s Notebook on November 17, 2009. Rhea left News on Q on April 20, 2010 and she was replaced by Connie Sison. Rhea became co-host of Maki Pulido and Jiggy Manicad in Reporter"s Notebook, but she left Reporter"s Notebook in January 18, 2011 to host "Tunay Na Buhay" that started airing on January 21, 2011 on Global Media Arts Network.
She was temporary absent to Unang Hirit starting September 12 due to her new baby delivery.
