A 6"3" guard from Saint Peter"s College in Jersey City, New Jersey, Rinaldi played for the Bullets from 1971–1973 and the Capital Bullets-New York Nets (American Bar Association) from 1973-1974. Rinaldi"s most successful National Basketball Association season came in 1972-1973, when he averaged 8.5 points and 2.1 rebounds in 33 games for the Bullets. Born in Poughkeepsie, New York, Rinaldi attended F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, New York and was an All-American player at Saint Peter"s, where he played from 1967-1971.
As a senior at Saint Peter"s in 1970-1971, Rinaldi averaged 28.6 points per game, which was the nation"s 6th highest scoring average that season.
He ended his professional career in Europe, playing in Italy and Switzerland from 1976-1982. Rich currently serves as a career counselor for the NBPA/National Basketball Association Career Development Program, where he has worked since 2000.
