Career
On 13 January 2013, Teixeira made his professional debut with Benfica Bachelor in a 2012-2013 game against Sporting Braga B and played 84 minutes. On 18 January 2014, he scored his first professional goal in a 2013-2014 Segunda Liga game against Portimonense. He acted mainly as a back-up to Carlos Martins, amassing 28 games in total.
He debuted for Benfica in a Union of European Football Associations Champions League against Bayern Leverkusen on 9 December 2014.
On 1 February 2016, he was loaned to Vitória de Guimarães until the end of the season. Teixeira represented Portugal at the 2013 Union of European Football Associations European Under-19 Championship.
He represented Portugal at the 2014 Toulon Tournament.
