He has composed and produced for a great number of artists, notably Orelsan, Diam"s, Booba, Rohff, Sinik and Nessbeal among others He has worked on projects of young singer Isleym, rappers El Matador, Brasco and rap band Nysay. Le Carpentier was born in Hérouville-Saint-Clair, a suburb in the city of Caen, France.
He composed for Orelsan, and the three co-operated to form Casseurs Flowters (officially made up of Orelsan and Gringe).
He then met American rapper, producer Playboy Tramaine, better known as P Tizi, in Tampa, Florida at a pool party in 2002. He has been active since 2004, notably with the release of Panthéon from Booba with the tracks "Tallac" and "Baby", the latter featuring Nessbeal.
In 2005, he released a compilation album entitled Instrus, containing instrumentals of popular songs he has produced. In 2006, he co-produced with Kilomaitre and Elyo the track "Louisiana Boulette" from Diam"son
On 8 July 2013, he released Instrus, Volume
2, the second in the Instrus series, showcasing his productions for Orelsan and Nessbeal. The label has been instrumental in launching Orelsan, with Skread producing and releasing Perdu d"avance and the hugely successful Le chant des sirènes. The label has also released Nessbeal"s NE2S and Sélection naturelle, as well as singer Isleym"s debut studio album Ou ça nous mène.
In 2006, Skread established the French hip hop and Rhythm & Blues label with Ablaye, his friend and a member of Orelsan"s entourage.
