He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who played for Worcestershire until his release at the end of the 2009 season. Ahmed, who had represented Worcestershire"s Second XI since 2006, made his List A debut in the Friends Provident Trophy in May 2008, and made his first-class debut against Loughborough UCCE in the same week. He played in the Birmingham District Premier Cricket League for many years.
He had previously played for Barnt Green Central Committee for 4 years (2005-2009), He then moved to Walsall Central Committee (2010), But is currently playing in the Birmingham Premier League with Attock Central Committee (2011).
In 2011 he also played one game for Derbyshire Second XI. He scored 348 runs in league games for Attock Central Committee in 2011 but excelled as a T20 opening batsman helping Attock Central Committee reach the semi finals of the BDPCL cup.
