Education
Mei was a native of Nanchang, Jiangxi province. After graduating from Tsinghua University in 1924, Mei Ju-ao went to the United States to study. In 1926, he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts from, and was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society the same year.
Mei went on to study law at University of Chicago Law School, where he obtained a Juris Doctor in 1928.
Career
He is portrayed by Damian Lau in the 2006 movie Tokyo Trial.
Membership
In 1926, he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University, and was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society the same year. In 1946-1948, Mei was the Chinese member of the judges in the International Military Tribunal for the Far East"s trials of Japanese war crimes committed during the second World War.
