Michael Pertwee was a British author, playwright and screenwriter. He produced and published dozens of stage plays, as well as motion pictures and teleplays, many in collaboration with his father.

Michael Pertwee was born on April 24, 1916 in Kensington, London, United Kingdom. Son of Roland (a dramatist) and Avice (Scholtz) Pertwee. He was the brother of Jon Pertwee of Doctor Who fame, a distant cousin of Bill Pertwee, a noted character actor, and the uncle of actor Sean Pertwee.

Pertwee attended Sherborne School in France.
Career
Michael Pertwee served for British Intelligence Corps from 1939 to 1945 and became major. As a playwright and screenwriter, he authored episodes of The Saint, Danger Man, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, B-And-B, Ladies Who Do, Hong Kong and many other films and TV series.
