Career
He is a 1.92 m (6 ft 3¾ in) tall shooting guard. Giannakidis began his professional career in the Greek Second Division with MENT, during the 2006-2007 season. He moved to the Greek First Division club PAOK, before the 2008-2009 season.
In 2012, he moved to Ikaros, where he played in 27 games.
In 2013, he joined Trikala Aries. In 2014, he moved to Koroivos and in October 2015 he moved to Kavala.
With Greece"s junior national teams, Giannakidis played at the 2004 International Basketball Federation Europe Under-16 Championship, the 2005 and 2006 International Basketball Federation Europe Under-18 Championships, and at the 2007 and 2008 International Basketball Federation Europe Under-20 Championships.
